GSOC – a lovely final

Finally, after almost 3 months and one package lost by polish national postal service, thanks to the powers of FedEx – I received my Summer of Code T-Shirt and a certificate of completion!

GSoC certificate

To Google, their Open Source team, MoinMoin developers and my mentor – Alexander Schremmer: thanks for the awesome summer!

Bank == secure?

A short story in the spirit of “Silence on the Wire”: there’s a (rather big) bank next to the building I live in. They have blinds in windows and everything would be nice except from one silly fact… Ceiling on the top floor is made of glass and, at night, I can see in the reflection what the guy sitting next to the window types on his keyboard. A slightly different angle would probably show me his screen in full glory.  So much for information security…

(Not that I bother to record and decipher it… But maybe I should let them know?)

Life bugs

There’s a vending machine in my workplace – a typical one with a keypad that lets you select the snack or beverage you want. There are 3 slots with Pepsi (numbered 53, 54, 55) and I’ve just realized that I always punch 54 in to avoid off-by-one errors… That left me feeling sad for some reason. ;-)
