Disabling PayWave

A short follow-up to my previous post about disabling PayPass antennas: here’s an x-ray of a Visa card issued by BZWBK in Poland. Next step: disabling it. I’ll try to think of something less invasive than previously.

  1. If the chip contacts on the surface of the card were shorted out would this be sufficient to degrade the antenna’s capability? I suppose this is going down the path of a metal wallet, but then I could paywave when I remove the card, and have it secure(ish) at other times. thanks for your blog!
